Victoria: Hey everyone, it’s Sensei Victoria Whitfield here, your journey partner in business, welcoming you back to episode 126 of the Journeypreneur Podcast. This is your source for channeled holistic stress management techniques, guidance, inspiration and motivation to stay on your path to rapid financial ascension and massive impact as a conscious entrepreneur.
The title of today’s podcast episode is Weight Loss vs. The Quarantine 15.
In this podcast episode, I am super grateful to get to bring to you my dear friend Soumya Gayatri. She is an incredible weight loss, health and nutrition coach for women especially of Indian origin and I know now more than ever we have got to hear what you're saying, mama! So welcome to the podcast, goddess!
Soumya: Hey, thank you so much Victoria. I'm so excited to talk to you today, and share my journey and share tips on how we can not pack on the Quarantine 15. Yes!
Right now you could still write it, this is a time that all of us are at home we are eating out of boredom because we are frustrated we are anxious via stress.
Victoria: So, I hear you on that. It's so true.
Now, with that being said though, before we get into it - I love it, the Quarantine 15 - before we get into that, this may be somebody's very first time meeting you or getting to hear your story.
So I was wondering if you could tell us a little bit more about yourself, but especially what are the three things that you're known for in your business. Could you tell us?
Soumya: I'm so happy to share that. Thank you so much.
I am a weight loss coach, I'm a health coach from Institute of Integrative Nutrition. I graduated back in 2013, and I have been on this journey of giving up my foods.
I primarily work with Indian women, but it's actually for ethnic women, you know, we come from different cultures. And all these diets seem to be geared towards giving up our ethnic foods that we grew up with.
And that doesn't go down very well because after you have lost the weight you go back to eating your culture's foods and then the weight comes back on, or if you eat emotional eating you will reach out to the food that you have grown up with.
That's just natural, right?
So that's where I did my research and actually got an aha moment for myself, that this is not going to work for me if I'm gonna eat soups and salads for the rest of my life.
Let's talk about it!
